All students that are not ready to pay tuition in full are required to complete the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process prior to completing this application. All students will qualify for some form of federal tuition assistance. NIMA requires that students accept all available federal funds prior to qualifying for in-house financing.
There are 3 types of federal tuition assistance:
- Grants – need based, no repayment required
- Subsidized – need based, repayment required, does not accrue interest while in school
- Unsubsidized – all students qualify for unsubsidized loans, repayment required, interest is accrued from start of loan
